There is a desire to continue into the world of academic leadership upon graduation at a large university while keeping a small practice that is part time. The main goals in the future include creating online lectures, didactic teaching and functioning in a collegiate atmosphere. The major areas of desired focus, is helping those with cardiac and vascular issues.
There are many professional goals desired but some include obtaining a professorship at some point and developing lab markers and entrepreneurial development of monitoring and measuring systems related to health, cardiac function and cardiac educational tools based upon a multitude of markers. Research goals include regression methodology through data to see correlations with various markers, symptoms, conditions and prevalence that will aid towards prognosis and treatment paradigms.
Dr. Brock received the most outstanding functional neurology teacher of the year from the ACA council of Neurology four years straight and two times from IAFNR (International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation). He also received the humanitarian award from IAFNR. Dr. Brock and is also the honorable recipient of the prestigious Living Legacy Award from Samford Universities Ida Moffett School Nursing in 2015. He has also been the spotlight student at Duke University and is on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Mindd Foundation, Vibrant Labs, and Xymogen Nutrition. His unique blend of clinical and teaching experience along with a background in medicine, chiropractic, neurology, orthopedics, regenerative medicine, and nutrition has created an integrated clinical background that has helped him treat difficult cases and offers comprehensive angles on education and clinical presentations. Dr. Brock is a participating partner and educator at BTB Health Systems, Functional
Neurology Seminars, SNA Technologies, and Brain Chat. He also works as an educator with Functional Medicine Meetings and Dr. Brock Lectures.
In my role of nursing I am really focused on patient education just as I am student education. Information, care, treatment paradigms fall into place with good education and clear communication. The environment and setting that this can be done in includes anything from a hospital, to private practice to events and supportive events about the chosen topic (cardiovascular system). Many ways of thinking can be processed through a system model of thinking which really focusses on the patient and their environment. In this situation, one can easily include the environmental stressors of genetic, inflammatory, structural, and inflammatory mechanisms that surround cardiac and vessel disease. This spans from the understanding of labs to the education, treatment, dietary, and exercises paradigms used to optimize dysfunction and danger in the realm of pathophysiology. Optimum outcomes ultimately include an empowered patient that is educated and has optimized their system at the highest level in which their individual physiology will allow them to have a higher level of satisfaction of overall wellness and function. Determining the cause of cardiac pathology, outlining treatment programs, changing the environment of a patient to be conducive to overall integrated health as well as offering education and a follow through with care is very relevant. A structured system for patient safety and progression under a systems model is fitting in this way of thinking and project undertaking. Following a theoretical application can easily create a linear form of methodology to establish quality are that is repetitive, monitored and checked for patient safety or improvement.
